biography

Mitchell Whitelaw is an academic, writer and artist working with generative systems, data practices, and digital sound and music. Recent projects span generative graphics (Limits to Growth) and environmental image/data visualization (Watching the Sky / Watching the Street). He is currently working on visualizations of large archival collections for the National Archive of Australia (The Visible Archive). He is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Canberra, and blogs at (The Teeming Void).
